Just last year, Volkswagen gave the Scirocco a facelift refresh which means that a new generation of Scirocco is bound to arrive at the end of next year. While no details are out yet on the upcoming Scirocco, it is easy to assume that design changes will be fairly subtle for the sports hatch.
This is because VW has got a huge reputation for being very minimal with the design changes on their vehicle. Furthermore, the German carmaker has the tendency to apply only one styling for all of its vehicles.
Independent concept artist, X-Tomi, is well-aware of this and it resulted in a concept image of the future Scirocco getting rendered. Unlike other concept images, X-Tomi sees the next-gen hatch to come with some design elements of the Passat.
Like how it is pictured above, the next-gen Scirocco is built on the MQB platform while featuring headlights that are identical to the Passat. Also, the Scirocco gets itself a shooting brake body.
In our eyes, the concept rendering of the next-gen Scirocco looks kind of tacky but we won’t be surprised if VW is to produce it in such a manner.
