If you have been closely following Land Rover, then you should know that the British carmaker is currently developing the next-gen SVX. This was already teased by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations’ team when they claim that the next-gen SVX will be insane.
By this, SVO meant that the SVX is going to be designed for the hardcore off-roaders. While it all sounds exciting, most Land Rover fans and off-road lovers are worried that the SVX is going to end up as a disappointment.
This is because they find Land Rover as an off-road specialist that has lost its ways. In recent years, every Land Rover vehicle came out with great off-roading technology but the problem is that they are all made to be luxury vehicles.
Obviously, nobody wants to take a luxury vehicle into the muddy trails and wild forest. Hence, this has led to most Land Rovers being found parked at a high-end shopping mall.
If Land Rover really wishes to make it big with the SVX, then they must drop the luxuries and focus solely on off-road technology. Otherwise, the next-gen SVX will just end up as a poser in the off-road world.
