The new Jeep Wrangler undergoes a few changes and this means that it will get new body, chassis and suspension. The body may be partly made of aluminium and if that is true, the frame will therefore be stronger and weigh less.
Jeep is currently busy making sure that the Chrysler’s ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic fits in the new Jeep Wrangler. The SUV may use four-cylinder based on the amount of weight it can handle. The engine will get the updated version of the current Pentastar V-6 which should be an efficient diesel with plenty of torque.
Furthermore, the underside of the Jeep Wrangler looks almost the same, with the coil-suspended Dana axles at both ends and a boxed frame. The Dana 44 piece comes with a new casing that we have never encountered before.
The new Jeep Wrangler is expected to make a late debut in 2016 and comes with a starting price of $25, 000.
