The CEO of Jeep said that their vehicles need to be greener and this came about after the governing body put pressure on car makers to bring down the emissions. This could start to happen with the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Hybrid and it will not be the hybrid that people think it will be.
The CEO said that Jeep are to start entering into the greener vehicles with the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Hybrid and this should arrive on the market in quarter three of next year and could be made at a new plant.
At the same time it was suggested that the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Hybrid may have lightweight thanks to it being made from aluminium. This will also mean that the vehicle will offer fuel economy that should be much better.
There is a downside to the vehicle being made from aluminium in that it will be more cost for productions of the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Hybrid. Making a new plant will also have an impact on the financials of Jeep.
Therefore the 2017 Jeep Wrangler may not be made at a new plant but it will be coming out in aluminium.
