2017 Jeep Wrangler: Delays Confirm Aluminium Changes?

Earlier today, Jeep’s parent company Fiat Chrysler came out to reveal that the upcoming Wrangler has suffered a delay in production. Fiat Chrysler claims that they had to make several engineering and design tweaks for the future Wrangler hence causing the delay.

The automaker added that the delay will see the future Jeep Wrangler to enter production somewhere in July next year instead of Q4 this year. Hence, the vehicle will only be ready in 2017 instead of Q4 2016.

This might sound upsetting for the Wrangler lovers but it does hint on something great coming with the future SUV. With the rumours being loud in claiming that Jeep is opening up to applying aluminium parts on its vehicles, we may just witness the future Wrangler featuring aluminium.

An aluminium-made Wrangler will definitely be lighter than all the Wranglers before this and it promises greater power output and an unbeatable fuel economy. We expect the delay to be because of aluminium but we can only be certain on this once Jeep spills the bean.
