Jeep will be giving the Jeep Renegade an upgrade for 2017. Not only will the Renegade getting a new Wrangler-inspired exterior design, but the Jeep Renegade might also be coming in with more power.
It was speculated that the 2017 Jeep Renegade could be powered by turbo engines. It is said that we will see the Renegade base model come in with a 2.4 liter Tigershark while the top of the range model will be powered by a 1.4 liter Multiair turbocharged engine.
There were also talks about a possibility of a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbocharged MJD II engine that will come mated to a nine-speed auto transmission.
Some of the Wrangler’s design feature like the grille in the front, wide air dam, the round headlights, and the fog lamps might also make it over to the 2017 Jeep Renegade model. Hopefully we will hear more details when we get closer to the debut of the 2017 Jeep Renegade model.
