Rumor has it that the Jeep Compass is returning to the market as a 2017 model, with several improvements to the previous one. The new model is set to compete with the Mazda CX-5, and it will have a specific place in the company’s line-up.
There are still not much information about the new Jeep Compass, but reports say that the model may come with a four-cylinder Multijet diesel engine and a patrol variant. The car will also come in either manual or automatic transmission, and it is said that the automatic transmission offers precise control of the ride with minimal effort and is more advanced.
Since this is an SUV, the Jeep Compass might come with a four-wheel-drive system. It is still uncertain whether the car will have the two-wheel-drive option as well because Jeep is usually not a big fan of 2WD, but we will never know.
Further details about the new Jeep Compass are still scarce, but the model is targeted for a 2016-2017 release. We just have to wait for Jeep to make official statement about this new model.
