It might just be.
The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace is set to take the market by storm as a super sporty crossover SUV. It’s definitely a very handsome-looking car (it looks so good in blue, by the way) and it’s going to make use of a very sophisticated chassis technology. We’re excited already.
What we should know by now is that Jaguar Land Rover has made plans to incorporate some very cool features to the car. It will be sporting an aluminum-intensive construction (known as Jaguar’s Lightweight Aluminum Architecture), all with the general idea of making it as lightweight as possible, but still being rigid. In addition, the curb weight is only approximately 4,000 pounds in total (signed up for the weight-loss regimen, too?).
UK’s automotive industry might still be on its heels, but Jaguar certainly thinks otherwise. The automaker has high hopes on its F-Pace and the 2017 XE sedan to make a turnaround in the US market. With the addition of two other upcoming SUVs, Jaguar is set to rock the automobile industry, as the automaker believes F-Pace would be its best-selling model while the other two variants would serve to secure their spot in the UK market. Wise strategy indeed.
When it comes to pricing, F-Pace’s main rivalry might just be Porsche’s Macan. So it is very possible that its base model will come out of the retail market with a price around $54,000. Also worthy to note is that there are 1,300 workers serving to help in the production of the F-Pace, so that means we’ll be seeing them in the showrooms as early as possible. Most likely beginning of next year. We certainly can’t wait.
