Jaguar is set to steal many headlines with its brand-new 2017 F-Pace, the sporty crossover SUV. And what we know so far is that it’s going to be really charmingly handsome and that it will make use of a very sophisticated chassis technology.
The automaker plans to incorporate an aluminum-intensive construction (known as Jaguar’s Lightweight Aluminum Architecture) into their F-Pace, with the general idea of making it as lightweight as possible, but still rigid. In addition, it has definitely joined in the weight-loss regimen too, for having an approximate of 4,000 pounds of curb weight.
Though Britain’s automotive industry is still claimed to be on its heels, Jaguar is really optimistic about the launch of the F-Pace and the 2017 XE sedan, and hopes that they will make a turnaround in the US market. Also worthy to note is that Jaguar will also have two upcoming SUVs, as mere support to the F-Pace, as they believe the latter would be its best-selling model while the other two variants would serve in securing their spot in the UK market.
Pricing-wise, F-Pace’s main rivalry would be Porsche’s Macan, so it is very possible that its base model will come out of the retail market with a price approximate of $54,000. With 1,300 workers serving to help in the production of the sporty crossover, it’ll be highly likely that they’ll arrive in showrooms as early as beginning of next year. We’ll keep our fingers crossed.
