Honda has finally broken the silence on the next-gen Civic and the next-gen sedan is going to be built as a value-for-money car.
In detail, Honda revealed that the upcoming Civic will be built with lighter materials so that it will offer better power output and more importantly, better fuel economy. Furthermore, the car is going to run on a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that develops 230hp and 255ft-lbs of torque.
Despite the big power output, the motor is going to return an average of 42mpg. To complete the money saving package, the next-gen Civic is going to be competitively priced from $28,000.
Wait. Who are we kidding? There is no way for the Civic to be that cheap. Apparently, the above is nothing more than an April’s fool joke. Gone are the days where a Honda is a cheap and reliable car to own and the next-gen Civic is surely going to be priced above the $30,000 mark.
