At the Beijing Auto Show there were many concept vehicles on show and among them was the 2016 VW Golf R.
Volkswagen confirmed it last week and they said that the inspiration for the 2016 VW Golf R is going to be from the 1989 version of the Rally Golf. This means that we can expect to see the vehicle arrive with a silver interior and lemon yellow exterior.
There are going to be some improvements when the 206 VW Golf R arrives on the scene and it will have the Haldex 5 AWD system and the 2.2 litre turbocharged engine with the 7 speed DSG transmission.
The 2016 VW Golf R is said to going to offer 292 horses and it should be able to go from standing still to 62mph in 3.9 seconds. It is thought that Volkswagen will be sharing more information very soon.
