In a matter of months from now, Volkswagen will be launching the highly anticipated Golf R Facelift. This upcoming hatchback is going to be extra special as it is going to adopt the styling of the old 1989 Rally Golf.
VW already shared that the Golf R Facelift will be based on the concept model that was unveiled at the last Beijing Motor Show. This heavily hints that the future model is going to be painted in yellow whereas the interior will be themed in silver.
Of course, not everything about the Golf R Facelift is going to be old like the Rally Golf. The vehicle will still be up to date with the latest technologies. Among them is the refined 2L engine which will power the Golf R Facelift and it is going to generate at least 300hp.
Like how it is with the current Golf, the facelift model is going to be powerful and a serious performer. More details on the car will come when the Golf R Facelift gets fully unveiled somewhere in Q3 this year.
