Putting aside the diesel-emissions scandal, Volkswagen has recently revealed the all-new Volkswagen Passat. The latest sedan will cost $23, 260 after the $80 destination charge on all versions.
To begin with, the car comes with a 1.8 TSI turbo four-cylinder with 170 horsepower 184 lb-ft and six-speed automatic transmission.
The base Volkswagen Passat S of that combo offers the same price as last year. But, the automaker claims $1, 315 for extra equipment that includes an automatic post-collision braking system and a five-inch MIB II infotainment system. An optional LED lighting package costs $1, 245 for the Passat S, but the price varies on other levels.
The price for the 2016 Passat TDI has not been revealed yet since it needs a repair for its emission cheating software before being certified by EPA and go on the market. For $24, 975, Volkswagen Passat R-Line offers buyers with black accents on the front bumper, tweaked rear diffuser and 19-inch wheels. With an additional of $775, the Volkswagen R-Line comfort package comes with a power driver’s seat, leatherette upholstery, heat for the exterior mirrors, heated front chaors amd washer nozzles.
Volkswagen Passat SEL ($31, 315) provides a luxury package. The model has 18-inch wheels, Vienna leather seats, power front chairs, an upgraded Fender stereo and a rear pass-through. So, which model do you prefer? Make your best choice.
