2016 Subaru WRX STi: So What’s New?

Later this year, Subaru will launch the all-new WRX STi and it is going to be an amazing car to own. Despite being based on the 2015 Subaru Impreza, the WRX STi is equipped with tons of new features as a standard.

Among the new features coming to the future WRX STI is the Starlink touchscreen infotainment system which comes with Bluetooth, satellite radio and backup camera functions. The infotainment system is sized at 6.2” and 7” for the entry level WRX STi and the limited trim respectively.

In terms of safety, the WRX STi is equipped with Subaru’s EyeSight active-safety technology suite, which provides lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, and lane-keep assist functions. For the limited edition trim, it comes with the addition of push-button start, blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert.

As for the design changes, the standard WRX STi still comes with a set of 17” wheels and there is a large spoiler resting at the back of the vehicle. The limited trim, on the other hand, stands on 18” rims and a small lip-spoiler instead of the large tail-wings.

The WRX STi is expected to go on sale this summer and it will be competitively priced from $35,490. For the limited edition model, prices will begin at $40,790.
