The ongoing Geneva Motor Show already have many things to share and among them is the Porsche GT3. The vehicle took the queue right after Porsche spoke of the GT4 and it simply wowed the audience.
Pegged together with the RS badge, the GT3 is revealed to come with the maximum amount of motorsport technology in a 911 shell. Porsche added that the sports car is right at the border from being street illegal.
Going into detail with the specs, the GT3 is said to run on the 4L flat-six engine that generates 500hp and 338ft-lbs of torque. This is while being paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
When translated on the tarmac, the GT3 is able to complete a sprint from 0-60mph in just 3.1 seconds. A quarter-mile can be completed in an impressive time of 11.2 seconds.
This was accomplished partly thanks to the lighter weight of the GT3, which has shed 22lbs through utilizing a magnesium roof and carbon fibre panels. Together with the low front splitter, massive rear spoiler and unique vented venders, it increases the downforce on the front axle.
The Porsche GT3 RS is priced at $175,900 and consumers can already book the vehicle today. Porsche looks set to officially launch the GT3 RS this July.
