Peugeot became the subject of a huge buzz earlier today after an image of the next-gen 308 GTi got leaked online. The image saw the 308 GTi looking all soft and gentle, much like the latest Volkswagen Golf.
This has got many Peugeot lovers wondering on why has the carmaker settled for a non-aggressive styling with the upcoming 308 GTi? Well, the answer to this is relatively simple and predictable. Obviously, Peugeot is saving the ultimate sporty styling for the 308 R.
While Peugeot has made no reveals on it yet, there is no doubt that the 308 R will get produced after the GTi. The R, like how it is today, will be the range topping model of the 308.
Then again, this is merely based on our judgement and assumption. We can only be certain when Peugeot reveals more on the 308 at the Goodwood event happening later this month.
