Both the Lexus RX350 and the RX450 will be refreshed with a facelift model and they are due to arrive in 2016. There is a lot of anticipation for the upcoming Lexus RX since the cars will come with aluminium built.
Of course, it won’t be anything like the Ford F-150. Instead of being fully aluminium, Lexus has revealed that it will start off by limiting the lighter material to the RX’s hood, tailgate and closures. The overall weight of the Lexus RX is going to be drastically reduced, thus, offering better performance and fuel economy.
The Japanese luxury car maker added that many manufacturers are picking up the aluminium trend. The metal is developed with advance engineering to ensure that they are strong, reliable and long-lasting
Aside from that, the Lexus RX will be built on the same platform as the Toyota Highlander. With that in mind, the SUV will definitely be huge with tons of interior space to offer.
