Lexus returned to the centre of a buzz earlier today when they confirmed that the upcoming RX Facelift is going to be built with aluminium. Lexus added that the move is aimed at reducing the weight of the RX Facelift so that the car can return better fuel mileage and greater power output.
If so, then the RX Facelift is surely going to sell like hotcakes when released. After all, a car with the right balance in power and fuel economy will certainly appeal to the masses. On top of that, the RX Facelift also has plenty of luxuries to offer.
The aluminium market is still very new to Lexus hence they will only apply it on the RX’s hood, tailgate and closures. We also can’t tell on how big the improvement is with the upcoming RX Facelift. This will have to wait until Lexus unveils the SUV.
