The Lexus RX is currently getting a mid-cycle refresh and the facelift model is expected to make its debut later this year. The thing is that the Lexus RX Facelift, which includes both the RX350 and RX450, is going to be a big upgrade from the existing model.
This is because Lexus has decided it is time for them to start applying aluminium on their vehicles. Lexus shared that they will use aluminium for the RX Facelift’s hood, tailgate and closures. The aluminium is meant to reduce the weight of the car.
With a lighter RX SUV, there is no doubt that power will be maximized and so will fuel economy. Of course, Lexus has yet to share any performance figures on this but all will be revealed when the RX Facelift gets fully unveiled in the coming months.
