Jeep is popular for producing powerful off-road vehicles but they are also well-known for offering poor quality vehicles. Regardless, the first thing we can say about the all-new Jeep Wrangler is wow.
Design-wise, the 4×4 has certainly evolved from its predecessors to be less rigid and more fashionable. Despite that fact, the Jeep representative that was attending to us claims that the Wrangler is still a beast waiting to be unleashed. Well, there is only one way to find that out for sure and it is through testing the vehicle.
We did just that when we rode on the top-of-the-range 4-door Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. When cruising on the road, the vehicle is more pain than comfort as it offers a wobbly steering, stiffer suspension and horrible noise insulation. Even so, all is forgiven since the Wrangler gave us that solid, trustworthy feel.
Then, we head out to the open grassy plains and amazingly, the uneven terrain feels a lot like a normal road. To convince ourselves that the Wrangler is still a beast, we decided to hike up a small and steep rocky hill near our vicinity.
Well, the result is marvellous. The Jeep Wrangler Sahara is well-equipped with technologies like Advanced Traction Control and Hill Climb Assist, together with various other instruments, which allowed us to climb the hill with ease. The 10.2” ground clearance is really helpful in ensuring that the big rocks won’t be able to damage the underneath of the Wrangler.
All in all, we were entirely impressed with the all-new Wrangler. The keyword above is off-roading. Aside from the wilderness, there is nothing great about the Wrangler.
