The Jeep Wrangler has always been a tough and rugged SUV since it is made to tackle the merciless off-roading terrain. Come 2016, a new Wrangler will be launched and rumours are indicating that the vehicle is going to be built on aluminium.
This has got the Wrangler fans worried as utilizing aluminium might turn the Wrangler into a brittle SUV instead. If the rumours are right, it is pretty obvious that the use of aluminium is meant to drag the fuel consumption rate down.
However, we don’t think that aluminium is going to change the characteristics of the Wrangler. Jeep will certainly engineer the future SUV to be tougher than before with better gas mileage and stronger performance.
With a Jeep Wrangler offering a low daily operating cost, we can expect the SUV to sell much better since such a feature will appeal to a wider market.
