It is no secret that Honda is currently developing the next-gen Pilot and this future SUV is bound to make its debut next year. Today, consumers and Honda fans alike can already take a good look at the future Pilot, even when it is not released yet.
This is possible thanks to the leak image of the upcoming Honda Pilot that is spotted doing the rounds on the internet. If one is to take a look at the image, they should be able to notice that the future Pilot is actually larger than before.
This is not surprising as the future Pilot is confirmed to adopt the Acura MDX platform. The new architecture ensures that the Pilot will be more spacious than before. Of course, Honda will be tweaking the measurement to ensure that the Pilot is longer and comes with more overhangs at the back.
On another note, the picture also confirms that the Pilot is to feature new headlights. While they might appear new and more angular than before, the headlights are actually identical to those on the latest Honda Accord.
Aside from that, consumers can look forward to some great performance being offered by the Honda Pilot. This is expected since the SUV will be towed by a 3.5L V6 engine as it comes with both AWD and FWD systems. The raw power will be pumped through a 6-speed automatic transmission and this will also work to ensure that the Pilot is a fuel economical as well.
To complete the package, the future Honda Pilot will come with more angular headlights while also running on the 3.5L V6 engine. Consumers will get to choose from AWD or FWD with the Pilot but regardless of their option, the SUV will still run on a 6-speed automatic transmission.
