Honda Civic fans have been waiting for Honda to unveil the 2016 Honda Civic SI model but based on what the new reports are saying, the 2016 Honda Civic SI might not be worth the wait after all.
It was initially thought that Honda will be unveiling the new 2016 Honda Civic SI model before 2015 ends after the unveiling of the coupe model, but we are already so close to the end of 2015 and still no sign of the SI model.
It has now been suggested that the Honda Civic SI might be coming in with a 1.5-liter turbo engine that will be tuned to deliver about 200hp and the fans are not too happy about it.
It is believed that the 1.5 liters turbocharged engine will not be enough if Honda plans to use the SI model to take on rivals like the Subaru WRX, Volkswagen GTI, and Ford Focus ST.
There were also rumors that the 2.0 liter turbocharged inline four engine from the Type R model will be offered and while that means more ponies, we feel like the engine should be kept for the Type R model only.
