It is no secret that Honda will be giving the Accord a Facelift in 2016. Today, the world can already catch a glimpse at the future vehicle.
This is through looking at the latest DongFang Spirior Concept, which was unveiled back at the last Beijing Auto Show. After all, the study is actually developed by the collaboration of DongFang and Honda. The car is basically a rebadged Honda Accord built to cater the local Chinese market.
With that being said, the new Spirior Concept looks promising and sharp. From an angle, the sedan seems identical to the Acura TLX. This cannot be helped as the Spirior Concept is penned by the same fellow that designed the TLX.
Honda claims that the Spirior Concept “achieved significant advancements in exterior design, dynamic performance and technologies as well as safety features.” The Spirior is expected to run on Honda’s 2.4-liter direct-injection four-cylinder gasoline mill paired to an 8-speed DCT transmission.
