Ford has already confirmed that a new-generation of Ranger will get released to the Asia Pacific market at the end of this year and the announcement was made together with a teaser video of the upcoming pickup truck.
We have personally viewed the teaser clip and were surprised by the many similarities the Ranger shares with the Ford Atlas. Both pickup trucks have the same large grille, a restyled front bumper with new fog lights and also more creases on the engine hood.
It is as if both the Ranger and the Atlas are twins but named for the different market. Ford has yet to share on the Ranger’s powertrain but if the pattern is to follow, then we can expect the pickup truck to come with the same engine options as those on the latest Ford Atlas.
Of course, this is still pending for further confirmation by Ford and that is bound to happen later this year. We’ll keep you updated.
