Due to poor sales, Ford had to take the Ford Ranger out of the US line up but that does not mean that the Ford Ranger is not doing well in some of the other markets outside of the US.
While it was struggling to survive in the US, the Ford Ranger seems to be doing just fine in markets like Australia where they manage to sell at least 16,157 units of the Ford Ranger this year alone. It was reported that about 40% of their sales in Australia belongs to the Ford Ranger.
With the pickup truck segment in the US picking up speed right now. There were talks that Ford could be looking to bring the Ford Ranger back into the US. It was said that the 2016 Ford Ranger was recently spotted getting tested in the US and some are saying that is proof that Ford is going to bring back the Ford Ranger.
It is believed that the Ford Ranger production might start in 2017 when they move the Ford C-Max and Ford Focus out of the Michigan plant.
