With the next-generation Mustang in development, there is a chance for it to break the norm and come out with more than 450hp to offer. This is suggested by our automotive analyst who suggested that Ford could integrate the future Mustang with direct injection technology.
Together with the standard 5L V8, this will enable the Mustang to break pass the 450hp mark and even reach out beyond 500hp. It is amazing on how one simple change to an engine feature can make a huge difference.
With direct injection, it is safe to say that the future Mustang won’t be weaker than 470hp. Of course, Ford is pending to confirm on this but fans of the stallion badge can keep hoping for it to happen.
