So, the rumours are right after all. Ford is indeed developing the next-gen GT350 and it will be fine-tuned by Shelby. The car was unveiled by Ford earlier today in LA and it automatically became an attraction to the public.
The Shelby GT350 is built on the same platform as the latest Ford S550 which indirectly confirms that the car will come with new fully independent rear suspension
Under the hood, the Ford Mustang is powered by a 5.2L V8 engine that is highly sophisticated. Of course, the engine is developed for track usage but it is still street legal. In figures, the motor generates 500hp and 400ft-lbs of torque.
Obviously, the Ford Mustang GT350 Shelby is more powerful than both the Boss and the new Mustang GT. Both vehicles are capable of producing 444hp with 380ft-lbs of torque and 435hp with 400ft-lbs of torque.
Just from here, we can confirm that the GT350 Shelby is more powerful than any other Ford Mustang today. Of course, such a huge power boost is obtained by cutting the weight of the vehicle through applying carbon fibre for its nose.
