Later this year, Ford will be launching the Focus RS on a global scale and the vehicle is going to get slotted above the latest Focus ST.
The first thing to note about the Focus RS is that it looks promising. The vehicle comes with a deep front splitter and a large trapezoidal front grille. The thing is that there are no metal strips running across the grille and this makes the Focus RS looks awkwardly like a mechanical cat fish.
Regardless, the Focus RS is still a beauty as it is equipped with a large diffuser and a distinctive roof spoiler. Such a styling is not only meant to make the Focus RS look good but also improve on the vehicle’s aerodynamics.
There are four sets inside the Focus RS and they are all manufactured by Recaro. Other features inside the cabin include a flat-bottomed steering wheel, alloy foot pedals and dynamic instrument graphics.
Nestled under the hood of the Focus RS is the newly-developed, Mustang-sourced 2.3L EcoBoost turbocharged engine that will look to deliver no less than 300hp. The engine is paired to a 6-spped manual transmission and the car will be driven on the AWD platform.
