There is a lot of excitement for the future Ford Focus RS but the cheers were cut short after rumours revealed that the sports hatch won’t be released in the local US market.
In detail, rumours are indicating that Ford has already got the EcoBoost-powered Mustang and Lincoln MKC here in America so there is no need for the Focus RS. The rumours concluded by claiming that launching the Focus RS will be bad for business.
Of course, the above are based on rumours and it is best to take them with a pinch of salt. For us, we feel that Ford will still release the Focus RS indefinitely. This is because of Ford’s aggressive behaviour in the local automotive market that saw many unnecessary vehicles getting produced.
If the pattern is to follow, then Ford will surely unleash the Focus RS to the masses. Besides, this is the Focus we are talking about, not some unknown prototype that managed to get produced. The sports hatch is required if Ford is to challenge the future VW Golf R Facelift.
