The Focus badge has long served the world as an affordable but powerful hatchback that is developed by Ford. Come next year, Ford will be introducing the Focus RS trim but there are growing worries that the top of the range vehicle won’t be making its entry here in the US.
According to the latest rumours, Ford is not going to give the next-gen Focus RS a local release due to the availability of the EcoBoost-powered Mustang and Lincoln MKC. Having the Focus RS in the US is suggested to be bad for business for the carmaker.
Of course, this is based on rumours and it is best taken with a pinch of salt. Market analysts couldn’t agree more with how the rumours explained themselves but they still believe that the Focus RS will get released in the US.
This is basically because of Ford’s gung ho attitude that has seen many unnecessary vehicles enjoying a local release unnecessarily. Furthermore, this is the highly popular Ford Focus RS and there is no chance for the sports hatch to miss out on the American market.
