Back at the last Geneva Motor Show, Ford teased on the upcoming Focus RS but they soon shied away after Honda stole the spotlight with their latest Civic Type-R. Well, Ford won’t be hiding at the New York Auto Show next week as they look to fully unveil the future sports hatch.
Meanwhile, here is what you have to know about the next-gen Ford Focus RS. For starters, Ford has revealed that the car will be powered by a newly-developed 2.3L EcoBoost engine with more than 315hp to offer. The Focus RS will also be running on the AWD system.
In addition to that, the Focus RS is to come with a high-performance Brembo braking system that is paired with stiffer spring rates and more efficient bushes and antiroll bars. Such a combination will surely ensure that the Focus RS is going to offer the best handling around.
Of course, Ford has yet to be specifics with the figures on the upcoming Focus RS. Regardless, we can expect some revolutionary performance with the Focus RS. When the vehicle arrives, it will be slotted above the Ford Fiesta ST.
