2016 Ford Focus RS: No US Debut Claims Soiled!

The Ford Focus is a highly popular vehicle that has just been refreshed with a brand new model. Next year, however, Ford will be launching the top-of-the-range trim of the hatchback and it will be known as the Focus RS.

Like every Focus RS before this, the upcoming model will be coming with a more cutting edge design and also more power to offer. It is expected by many that the next-gen Focus RS will be powered by a newly-developed 2.3L EcoBoost engine that delivers a whopping 350hp.

On the flipside of things, rumours are rife in suggesting that the upcoming Focus RS won’t be making its debut here in the US. The rumours explained that Ford has already got the Lincoln MKC and the Mustang so they see no need to release the Focus RS here in the US.

Well, the mistake with the rumours is that they failed to realize that Ford is not driven by business. In recent years, the American carmaker has been so aggressive and this has led them to launch quite a number of unneeded vehicles. We personally don’t expect this to change, especially when it is the Ford Focus RS.

With that being said, car enthusiast can keep calm and look forward to the Focus RS local arrival next year. After all, the sports hatch is important if Ford wishes to challenge the Volkswagen Golf GTi.
