2016 Ford Focus RS: From American, By Americans, Not For Americans?

A new breed of Focus RS is currently getting produced by Ford and it is due to arrive next year. The upcoming sports hatch is said to come with a newly-developed 2.3L EcoBoost engine that has a whopping 350hp to offer.

Unfortunately, rumours are indicating that the Focus RS won’t be making its debut here in America. This is because of Ford, which already has the Lincoln MKC and Mustang for their performance vehicle. Releasing the Focus RS will certainly be a bad business decision.

While the rumours may be right, it is difficult to see Ford not releasing the Focus RS here in the US. Ford has launched many unnecessary vehicles before this and there is no chance for them to skip the Focus RS. Besides, the Focus badge is one of the most popular vehicles in the world and it is impossible for the RS to not debut in its home ground.

With that being said, we highly advise consumers to take the rumours with a pinch of salt. The Ford Focus RS is going to be more powerful than the Focus ST and it will look to ignite the roads when released.
