The next-gen Ford Focus RS is months away from getting released and it is confirmed that the car will be coming in the US too. This should ease the worries of the masses that believed the Focus RS will not get a home debut.
Well, we cannot blame the Focus fan for getting worried since the availability of both the EcoBoost-powered Lincoln MKC and Mustang does make a strong suggestion that the Focus RS can’t make it in the US.
Now that Ford has cleared the air after making the necessary announcement back at the last New York Auto Show, Americans can begin to look forward to welcoming the next-gen sports hatch.
The Ford Focus RS will be sitting above the Focus ST when it makes its debut and it will be powered by a 2.3L EcoBoost engine that have at least 300hp to offer. The Focus RS will be driven on the AWD system and it is going to rival the Volkswagen Golf GTi.
