It is no secret that Ford is currently producing the next-gen Focus RS and now, the American carmaker has finally launched a concept image of the upcoming sports hatch.
The image (see above) basically shows the Focus RS making its ordinary pose and does look like awkward at a glance. This is because the Focus RS is made to appear like a Subaru vehicle that is engineered by Germans.
Nevertheless, the image surfaced with the caption that says ‘300hp, 2.3L EcoBoost’. The caption simply speaks for itself and for those that has failed to take the hint; it means that the Focus RS will be running on the 2.3L EcoBoost engine with 300hp to offer.
There is nothing much to discuss about the design and the interior since the Focus RS is a lot similar to both the Focus SE and the Focus ST. This is except for the half-covered front-grille, which is in place to offer a more streamlined stance.
While Ford is still pending to share on how much the future Focus RS will cost, many are expecting it to be around the $35K mark. After all, the Focus RS has to be cheaper than the Volkswagen Golf R Facelift and slightly more expensive than the Focus ST. The Focus RS is confirmed to make its debut next year.
