The thing about carmakers is that they also represent the country they are founded in. For Ford, everyone knows they are from the US but even so, the company has the habit of not releasing some great vehicles in the nation but elsewhere instead.
We are referring to the Focus RS which has yet to set foot here in the US despite being a Ford. Hence, when Ford announced on the coming of the next-gen Focus RS last year, it was met by many disappointed faces here in the US.
Well, Focus fans can put their disappointments away now as Ford has confirmed that the Focus RS will be shipped to America. The car will be slotted above the Focus ST when released and it will run on a 2.3L EcoBoost engine with 315hp to offer.
Ford confirmed on this back at the last New York Auto Show and it was met with cheers from the crowd. The Focus badge is one of America’s finest products and truly deserves having the Focus RS as the range-topper.
