The word is that the Ford Explorer is going to come with the 2.3L 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine being offered as a standard. This will bless it with 270hp and a whopping 300ft-lbs of torque. In case you are unaware, the motor is exactly like the one that was used by the latest Ford Mustang.
To top things off, consumers will also get the ability to purchase the Ford Explorer with a V6 EcoBoost engine. With a launching price expected to be at $30,700, the next-gen Ford Explorer is surely going to give other SUVs a run for its money.
