The 2016 Dodge Challenger and the SRT Charger Hellcat may be the two latest muscle vehicles on the market but the engines in them are not brand new. This may change soon though as they are both going to be turbocharged.
The Hellcat and Challenger out at the moment both offer the HEMI 6.2 litre V8 engine and this offers 707 horses along with 880Nm of torque. The V8 naturally aspirated 6.4 litre engine offers up 485 horses and 644Nm of torque.
While these engines do offer a great deal of power but when the 2016 Dodge Challenger and SRT Charger Hellcat come out they will offer the 4 cylinder twi-turbo or perhaps the 6 cylinder with twin-turbo engine.
It has been said that the SRT Charger Hellcat and the 2016 Dodge Challenger will be arriving with their turbocharged engines in 2019 and both of the vehicles should offer fuel efficiency that is more efficient.
