There is no denying that the Chevrolet Equinox is a very pretty mid-size SUV. Ever since it was launched back in 2009, the Equinox has been selling impressively well and soon, GM will be giving it a facelift.
The upcoming model is tipped to arrive in exactly a year from now as part of Chevrolet’s 2016 line-up. While details might be scarce at the moment, our Chevy insider shared that the Equinox is coming with a deeper, wider grille with horizontal chrome inserts, similar to the grilles of the 2015 Cruze.
In detail, the front portion of the vehicle will have a more updated look, but in a manner that the Equinox can still be distinguished from other Chevrolet vehicles. The timing of the facelift comes at just the right time since the Equinox is scheduled to get a next-gen model in 2017.
When the Equinox facelift makes its debut, it will look to compete with the Mazda CX-5, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV-4. It will surely be interesting to see if Chevrolet will update the Equinox engine options in the future facelift model.
