The Chevrolet Colorado was a nice surprise for the mid-size truck segment, a segment that many has considered stagnant.
The Chevrolet Colorado was not a bad model to start with. It came in with a new exterior design that looks young and fun, something different from what we usually see in the mid-size truck segment.
The Colorado is also fuel efficient which is always a plus, but Chevrolet was not satisfied with just that as they announce that they will be adding in a diesel powered model into the mix.
The new 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Diesel model will be running on a 16 valve DOHC 2.8 liter Duramax four-cylinder engine that will be pushing out about 181hp. It does not offer much when compared to the V6 engine, but it is a lot more fuel efficient with an EPA rating of 22mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway for the two-wheel drive model and 21mpg in the city and 29mpg on the highway for the four-wheel drive model.
