Cadillac has already unveiled the CT6 at the ongoing New York Auto Show and it is truly a large sedan. Measuring at 204” long, the CT6 is slightly bigger than the BMW 7-Series.
What surprised us most is the fact that the CT6 weighs under 3700lbs. This is much lighter than the BMW 5-Series and it left us wondering on how the German carmaker couldn’t achieve this feat. After all, BMW have been running their mouths about keeping the weight of their vehicle light.
GM specifically quoted the CT6:
“It is one of the world’s lightest and most agile full-size luxury performance sedans, with dimensions and spaciousness on par with BMW’s short-wheelbase 7-Series, but the approximate weight, agility and efficiency of the smaller Cadillac CTS – which is lighter than a BMW 5-Series. The CT6 is lighter than the BMW 5-Series, 6-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.”
The Cadillac CT6 is surely going to be a game-changer and will be looking to end the German luxury monopoly here in the US. Cadillac will be launching the CT6 in early next-year.
