It is no secret that BMW is going to launch a new-generation of X1 and the compact crossover is expected to make its debut at the end of this year. Just recently, we manage to catch a glimpse of the X1 being tested on a snowy environment.
Now, new spy shots of the BMW X1 has surfaced and it shows the vehicle running on a racing track. To be precise, the X1 was taking a sprint at the legendary Nurburgring, Germany.
The latest spy shots might still see the X1 coming with thick camouflage but this time, we manage to catch a couple of new details on the crossover. Apparently, the X1 does come with some styling taken from the 2 Series Gran Tourer. Both the headlights and the grille seem to be identical to the latter.
When the BMW X1 gets released, it will be offered with two engine options. The first is a 1.5L 3-cylinder set-up while the second is a 2L 4-cylinder motor.
Of course, BMW has yet to share on the official release date for the upcoming X1 but consumers can expect it to come in autumn.
