So why didn’t the BMW M2 show up at the 2016 LA Auto Show? Is there anything wrong with the design of the model or that they didn’t feel confident in displaying their M2 model? Nope, it’s just taking a back seat to the ultra high-performance M4 GTS.
Though inferior in comparison to that of the M4 GTS, the M2 is also impressive on its own and produces more power than its predecessor: the BMW 1 M Coupe. For now, the M2 features a twin-power turbo 3.0-litre 6-cylinder inline engine that produces 365 bhp and 343 lb-ft of torque.
It’s claimed that the M2 won’t be unveiled in the US, though it is still scheduled to go on sale next spring in North America. Since M2 will only be an entry point into the M performance division of the automaker, we’ll just keep our fingers crossed in hope for more details of this lovely sedan.
