Seems like BMW has something to hide. The 2016 BMW M2 didn’t make an appearance at the LA Auto Show that raised suspicions among critics and enthusiasts alike. But the reason was simple: it’s just taking a backseat to the ultra high-performance M4 GTS.
There should be no reason for the M2 to shy away from the limelight because it’s also pretty impressive on its own. One thing’s for sure: it definitely produces more power than its predecessor, the BMW 1 M Coupe. Also worthy to note is that the M2 features a twin-power turbo 3.0-litre 6-cylinder inline engine that produces 365 bhp and 343 lb-ft of torque. Impressive, no?
US fans don’t have to worry too much although it’s claimed that the M2 won’t be unveiled very soon in their market, since it will still make its stand next spring in North America. M2 would only be an entry point into the M performance division of BMW, so in the meantime, we’ll just keep our fingers crossed and be hopeful that it fares well in the market.
