Over in India, there is a huge buzz going on after the latest Toyota Yaris was spotted in Bengaluru. The vehicle was caught driving in public roads while wearing a thin sheet of camouflage.
The news certainly got the Indian car junkies excited as Toyota India has yet to make a stand against the hot-selling Honda City. Then again, they fear that it might just be another experiment by Toyota.
After all, it wasn’t that long ago when a Toyota Hilux with thin camouflage was spotted in India’s roads and it ended up as a no show in the country. India is a famous place for carmakers to test vehicles due to its poor road condition, poor fuel ratings and dusty atmosphere.
Then again, we don’t think it is an experiment from Toyota as the auto firm has already launched the Yaris worldwide in over 80 countries. As such, Indian car junkies should remain hopeful for the Yaris and Toyota will surely make more announcements on the vehicle later in the near future.
When the Yaris arrives, it will surely be coming with a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine that develops about 105hp and 141Nm of torque.
