Come next year, Toyota will be launching the next-generation Hilux. Aside from the obvious improvements to the powertrain, the pickup truck is going to get a totally new look.
Today, fans can already catch a glance of the upcoming Hilux after spy shots of it got exhibited on the internet. You can check it out here.
Of course, the Hilux is wrapped under thick camouflage but that doesn’t stop us from understanding its measurements. In short, the Hilux is much larger than its predecessor. Also, the front headlights are narrower and more angular.
In addition to that, viewers should be able to notice the horizontal bars on the grille that comes in three. Word has it that they will be coloured in chrome.
While there is no way to tell on the sort of motor towing the vehicle around, we can expect it to be either the 2.5L or 3L four-cylinder diesels with variable-nozzle turbos, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the Hilux could come with a hybrid mill.
It is still too early to predict on the assortments coming with the Hilux. We will surely find out more when we near the vehicle’s release somewhere next year.
