Most car enthusiasts are always interested to see a contest between an affordable car and a luxury car. Back in the days, it was always fun to see how the Nissan GT-R is able to leave many luxury super cars biting its dust.
Now, car fanatics can indulge in a race between the Subaru WRX STI and the Porsche Cayman. Both vehicles were involved in a standing quarter mile drag race yesterday and it was interesting to see how the $38,190 WRX STI performs against the $70,160 Cayman.
On papers the former is powered by a 2.5L turbocharged F4 engine that is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This allows it to generate 305hp and 290lb-fts of torque. Meanwhile, the Cayman runs on the 2.7L F6 engine that is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This generates 275hp and 213lb-ft of torque.
