The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), has announced the safety results for the next-generation Subaru Outback and amazingly, the SUV scored better than the recently released Subaru Forester.
This is amazing as both vehicles are part of Subaru’s MY2015 line-up and built on the company’s new chassis but somehow, the Outback managed to become more of a fortress than the Forester.
NHTSA explained that the Outback simply scored full marks when participating in the frontal crash test. This is something the Forester failed to achieve as it only managed to bag four stars.
The Subaru Outback is equipped with the new, EyeSight safety package that consists of many great features. Things like rearview camera, side curtain airbags and rear vehicle detection system are considered as standards for the SUV.
