Just last week, we discussed on how the latest Subaru Legacy and the Subaru Outback are safer than other Subaru vehicles on the company’s MY2015 line-up. Well, this is proven further after the US government gave the Legacy and Outback a straight A in safety prior to their arrival in the nation.
This is not surprising as the Outback and Legacy did superbly well, if not perfect, when doing the NCAP crash tests. Of course, there is one segment which the Outback failed to get perfect scores and it is at the rollover test.
This cannot be blamed as the Outback is a large and tall SUV. Regardless, it was able to achieve four stars that are probably the best for its measurements. Subaru bragged that this was owed to the excellent stability control systems on the Outback.
On another note, both the Outback and Legacy are equipped with Subaru’s all-new EyeSight active safety-system. The safety package is now the new standard for Subaru and it is completed with new features like rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-departure warnings, and blind-spot monitoring.
The fact that the Subaru Legacy and Outback are two of the safest vehicles in the world right now should bless them with great sales, particularly here in the US where nobody wishes to get hurt on the road.
